Troegs Scratch #94 Apricot IPA Released Today

From Troegs:

Released in the Tasting Room today, Scratch #94 features more than 100 pounds of puréed apricots added to the wort during fermentation. We then dry-hopped with three pounds of Citra hops per barrel to create an insanely vibrant citrusy IPA. This latest Scratch creation is extremely limited, so stop in sooner than later to experience this deliciously fresh, juicy apricot IPA! 6.3% ABV and 50 IBU. Availability: draft only (sorry, no growler fills).

A Düsseldorf specialty, Altbier is a top-fermented, moderately dark German-style ale that exhibits the dryness of a lager but also boasts pleasant fruity notes. Troegs Scratch # 91 - Dunkel Lager Coming 3/4

Scratch #91 – Dunkel Lager – Another first in the Scratch series, this Dunkel Lager is based on a recipe by Tröegs brewer Jeff Campbell. A traditional Bavarian dark lager brewed with Chocolate and Munich malts and German noble hops, Scratch #91 is smooth, rich and complex, but comes without the heaviness of many other dark beer styles. Scratch #91 is slated for release on Thursday, April 4 in the Tasting Room. Availability: draft and growler fills only.

Troegs Introduces “The Hop Gun” Hops Infusion Device

Looks like we are go for liftoff as Troegs introduces their new hops infusion device nicknamed The Hop Gun.  This device appears to be similar to the Torpedo @ Sierra Nevada, or the Sofa King @ Dogfish Head or even the Hop Torpedo @ BrewDog and the HopJack @ Susquehanna.  SO how does this baby differ from the Troegs HopBack?  Stay tuned.  From Troegs:

Troegs Scratch # 88 Chocolate Stout (Infüz-O-Matic) Available Today

SCRATCH #88 - CHOCOLATE STOUT is now available in the Tasting Room. We circulated the beer in our new Infüz-O-Matic 5000 apparatus for more than 150 hours through four circulation units with more than 100lbs. of cocoa nibs, 50lbs. of cocoa powder, thirty vanilla beans, and copious amounts of Cascade hops.

Troegs - Scratch Series Impending Descent Ale (Russian Imperial Stout)

Here’s your first look at the upcoming Troegs Scratch Series beer called Impending Descent Ale.  We tipped you off back in early Nov that according to our pal John Trogner, Impending Descent would be “Huge” Russian Imperial Stout brewed to celebrate the end of the Mayan Calendar on 12/21/12.  This beer will of course be released on 12/21 and stay tuned for ABV as we find out how Huge is “huge.”
